The Flying Man: A Relief to the Good Guys, an Alert to the Outlaws

This is a nine minute warshak test.

Not too long ago a friend of mine suggested that the Trayvon Martin case was about class rather than race. I explained to her that Black people are always assumed to be impoverished until proven otherwise. Thus, we would never benefit from membership in any other class than the lowest one. As such, the distinction between racism and classism is worthless.

That is where my mind goes now, when folks talk about vigilantes. Being profiled by the cops is bad. Being profiled by civilians, who are armed and afraid is much worse.

You watched the Flying Man. Now, how do you feel? You obey the law, right? Would you want him patrolling the skies?
Or are you afraid you might end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Collateral damage.
